I haven’t gotten as far in the book as I would’ve liked. I just haven’t sat down to read. In fact I’m only four chapters in, but I have noticed a few things that jumped out at me.

Kristy really seems like a middle school student to me in this book, later books not so much.  It’s kind of nice seeing her trying to figure stuff out. Also really nice seeing her asking Claudia permission and what not.

Claudia, oh man the clothing already is just off the wall. I don’t think Clarissa or Blossom would’ve worn stuff as ridiculous as she does. She’s like that kid in pre-school whose mother just gave up one morning and let her wear her dress up clothes to class.

Stacy, oh gosh. This mature New Yorker thing is a joke. If this was Gossip Girl she’d be the girl dying to be sitting on the steps with Blair Waldorf. Good thing these girls have no idea just how sad Stacy was in NYC.

Mary Anne, poor thing feels like an afterthought. Like I said I’m only 4 chapters in, so not a whole lot of time for Mary Anne. Though I have already had 3 Claudia clothing descriptions.

Oh, something that struck me as odd. Kristy said she took her key out of her purse. Really? Kristy carrying a purse? Does that seem weird to anyone else?

That’s what I’ve got so far. Next week, let’s try to have the first 3 books under our belts.
